Item in Question: Did you go through with the deal?: went to pick a rifle up and he raised the price from 600 that we agreed on to 700 and that he was taking the scope off as well, after the scope was included. This guy has dealed with others i know as well and dont have much good to say. What a hassle.

BUYER BEWARE!!! I called this seller to ask a couple questions about this Winchester 1894 Canadian Centennial 30-30 rifle he had for sale. I thought he was being honest about the condition of the rifle, confirming with him over the phone that the item was indeed mint and had never been fired (to his knowledge) as he had purchased it from an estate sale (as mentioned in his ad). We agreed on the asking price (1275), and I even sent him an extra $45 for shipping/handling and insurance since he had to ship it through Canada Post. I asked him to send me a receipt and a picture of the serial number (on Thursday) as well as a tracking number, which he then failed to do right away after he received payment in full, only to send a picture of the serial number after I had to ask for it again the next day (Friday) saying he didn't have time to ship it then. He did ship the rifle (Monday) and sent me a copy of tracking receipt with no insurance via text message. I texted him back and asked why he wouldn't insure the rifle, to which he answered "I there a problem?" So, I gave him a call to see what miscommunication might have occurred. I then called him right away and ask again why wasn't the rifle insured? His answer was that he had to wait outside the post office to be able to mail it, but then didn't have time to add insurance on the package when ask by the post office clerk, because other people were waiting in line??? I gave him a call and called him out on it, invalidating his last comment explaining that I had paid extra money upfront for him to insure the package and that he didn't. He then told me that I should be "Thankful" that there is a up to $100 default coverage by Canada Post (on a $1320 item that would've only costed $10 extra to insure, by the way), with a negative tone in his voice over the phone that resonated as cocky to me, if you will. I then asked him if he was actually having an attitude with me, or if there was something I was unclear with here, to which he reacted swiftly by cutting me off, saying "YOu Know WhaT!!?!!, I waited in line to ship your F*****G rifle... F*** Off, You Know What!?! F**K OFF!!! Then he hung up. 3 Days later the rifle arrived, yes. Only to find out that it is full of dings (like 100s of them), visible scratches on the receiver, flake of varnish gone the fore end wood, wear mark from the shooter's thumb on the left of the hammer's top receiver, saddle ring scratch for coming loose, etc... It was abundantly clear that this rifle has been more than fired, but used aplenty of times. It's in OK normal wear and tear condition for the year, but far from mint, far from a $1300 value, believe me. I dealt with a great number a people inside the firearms enthusiasts community in Alberta but have never seen any specimen like this guys before him. The only thing this seller could do to deserve a better rating than this would be to be honest with his clients first, refund me some of the money I sent him and stop taking advantage of fellow firearms enthusiasts. I had to write this review, since this type of behavior has no place in our community and must be exposed for what it is, when it happens. Thank you for reading, and good luck making deals on Town Post in the future. -Regards-

I have never dealt with someone so unprofessional in my life. Tim was interested in a trade for a rifle I had, we agreed I would ship my gun to him to assess. Once he received my rifle he immediately posted it for sale before we had a deal, went back on the rough deal we had agreed upon, when I asked him to ship me back my rifle and scope he tried to charge me $175 for “cleaning” of my rifle, once I called him I was called a pain in his ass, little shit, and he told me to f*** off, he told me he would send the rifle we were going to trade for and my scope to me (I’m sure he had already sold my gun before we made a deal). Once I received the package he sent me a different scope than the one I had sent him and we had agreed upon. Not worth the time or the hassle to deal with this “business”.

Completely dishonest and rude. This guy acts like he’s doing you a huge favour by selling you a gun. 2 years ago, I drove to his place to trade for a gun that was sold when I got there. And just this week, he shipped me a gun that doesn’t eject shells. As a full-time gun seller, running dummy rounds through a rifle is the bare minimum you can do assess function. I am positive he knew about the defect. Under no circumstances should you do business with this person. He’s very rude and almost hostile. Do not to business with this loser.

When you want to do business, especially if by mail, it's a good feeling that you can deal with confidence. Tim is such a person to deal with, and even though my first purchase with him was by mail, I was pleased with what I had purchased. It was in better shape than I expected. I would be happy to deal with him again, especially since he held the gun overnight after I phoned him and said I couldn't send an EMT until the following morning. 5***** all the way. Thanks Tim.

Not worth looking at his Ads. Sent him a deposit to hold till the weekend, Friday I texted him to confirm and come pick it up on Saturday, but nope it didn’t work for him. Which was fine with me I could come another time. Then Monday morning he texted me saying it was sold. DOES’T KEEP HIS WORD

Read the negative reviews they are all spot on. This guy is the gun shop version of a greasy used car dealership. Had a family member pick up a rifle for me and when I got it less than a week later it was damaged and not functioning correctly. He then acted as if it wasn’t broken when it left his house and that my family member that picked it up could have damaged it even though they never once opened the case it was in. As a guy that goes through as many guns as he does there is no way he did not know it was damaged, and it also explains why he wanted to ship it to me so badly instead of having someone pick it up. On top of it all the guy was very cocky and had a shitty attitude that I called him out for selling me a broken item. To be fair, he did try and make the deal right (tried to fix it) and offered to replace the defective item but that would make the rifle not original so I wouldn’t be interested anymore. Managed to get a refund out of him, which is nice. At the same time he wouldn’t have had to try and make the deal right or give me my money back if he wasn’t dishonest and tried to scam me in the first place. Of course I never read these reviews about him until now, but after reading them I wish I did sooner!

Sketchy. Refused to show PAL before driving an hour to meet him, also could not give an estimate on what he was willing to pay, even with pictures, which told me he was going to low ball me. His attitude is like he's doing you a favour. Use extreme caution, insist on ID verification before driving to his establishment, get an estimation... there is no reason not to have a ballpark number before asking someone to drive an hour or more.
