We have two certified firearm instructors and coaches to offer the Canadian Firearms Safety Course. You will learn everything that you need to be certified for the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and receive all documentation required to apply for your P.A.L..
If you have a POL, the rules have changed for this one so ask when you call or call 1-800-731-4000 or if you have an expired F.A.C. (check with 1-800-731-4000 before booking as you may not have to take a course).
Our classes are taught with a detailed PowerPoint presentation, demonstration, video, and hands-on instruction. Class sizes are limited to 12 students per class to give you a student: instructor ratio of a maximum of 6:1. With these smaller classes, we can give you more individualized instruction to maximize your learning. We are proud of the level of confidence and proficiency demonstrated by our students by the end of their sessions.
It can take some time for your PAL to arrive in the mail. The Government takes a minimum of 45 working days before they complete the processing of your paperwork. Recently it has taken months. If you have not filled out everything perfectly, it may be delayed even further. Do not wait until the week before you plan to go hunting to take your course. Plan so that you will be ready. There is no such thing as an interim license. You must wait for your official one from the Government before you can purchase firearms or ammunition.
