This is an original Japanese non-commissioned officer’s (NCO) Shin Gunto sword from World War 2.

The blade and the mountings are in Excellent condition.

The blade is 26.5 inches long (67cm) and has a fuller the entire length of the blade.

The blade is numbered 20730 and the scabbard is numbered 20437.

There is an arsenal stamp on the blade next to the number.

The sword is in Excellent condition showing no nicks, a few small scattered spots of rust, and some scattered scratches along its length.

The mounts are in Excellent condition.

The scabbard is green painted metal showing no dents and retaining roughly 80% of its original finish.
