This EAL (Essential Agencies Limited) rifle is a purpose built rifle rifle that was issued to the Royal Canadian Airforce to be used as a survival rifle, in the 1950's. It has an Enfield action chambered in .303 British with a 21 inch barrel with a nice bore and it comes with a 10 round magazine.
This version has an original two position flip up receiver peep sight that allows for a longer sight radius and improved sight picture, thus allowing for increased accuracy.
The metal is very good with most of its blueing intact. The wood is very good although there is minor chafing just forward of the magazine. It is all original with no modifications to detract from its value, the recoil pad is original to the rifle and is in excellent condition.
Overall this is an excellent example of an EAL!
To the Enfield collector this is an essential acquisition for one's collection, and yet it can successfully be used on a hunt anywhere in Canada where high power rifles are permitted.
